Privacy notice

Splendour Montessori International Learning Center ("we", "the school") respects your privacy and the privacy of your children. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and your rights under Rwanda's Law N° 058/2021 of 13/10/2021 relating to the protection of personal data and privacy.

What we collect

• Application forms: your child's name, date of birth, gender, nationality, previous school and any health or additional-needs information you choose to share; parent/guardian names, relationship, phone, email, address and occupation.
• Visit, fee-sheet and contact forms: your name, phone, email and your message.
• Job applications: your name, contact details, qualifications, experience, motivation and the CV you upload.
• Newsletter: your name and email address.
• Technical data: a shortened, one-way code derived from your IP address to prevent spam, and a session cookie needed for forms to work securely. We do not use advertising cookies.

Why we use it

• To process admission applications, arrange visits and answer your questions (steps you ask us to take before enrolment).
• To keep children safe — health information is used only by staff who need it to care for your child (with your consent).
• To consider job applicants for current and future vacancies.
• To send newsletters and event reminders, only if you subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time).

Who can see it

Only authorised school staff. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing. Our website host and email provider store data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.

How long we keep it

Applications that do not lead to enrolment are deleted within 12 months. Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months. Job applications and CVs from unsuccessful candidates are deleted within 12 months. Records of enrolled children are kept as required for school administration and by law. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@splendourmontessorischool.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the National Cyber Security Authority (NCSA), Rwanda's data protection supervisory authority.

Security

This website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Submitted information is stored in a protected area accessible only to authorised staff with a password.

Photos of children

We only publish photos of children on this website and our social media with written parental consent, and we never publish children's full names alongside their photos.
